Our story starts when we opened an art Gallery in a large loft
above an antique store, Town Center Antiques, in a small
Historic town called Berlin. Our concept was to create a gallery
which would house a place for local artist to show and sell their
works. We maintained this concept with only local art work for
over four years. We learned alot about the local art scene and
met alot of artists near and far on the Eastern Shore.
On September 1, 2007 we moved the Step Above Art Gallery
from the loft over the antique store and opened our new doors
down on Main Street in the heart of town. We changed our
concept a little bit and renamed our store A Step Above Gallery
and Gifts. We still have most of the local artists as before but we
added gifts to our mix. We also added a few signature items
and collectibles like Trollbeads. We divided the gallery into
several main rooms including a glass room, enchanted room,
far east room, jewelry counters, and lots of wall space for the art
work. Our mission is still to support our local artists and this
area has many talented professional craftsmen who create
